Accepted and prohibited materials
What we take
We accept a wide variety of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals to help keep Central Kentucky clean. Bring us your copper piping, brass fixtures, aluminum cans, stainless steel, appliances, clean sheet metal, structural steel, and whole vehicles with appropriate title documentation. If you have questions about specific grades or quantities, please check our current prices page or give us a call.
What we do not take
For environmental compliance and facility safety, there are items we cannot accept under any circumstances. We do not accept hazardous waste, radioactive materials, sealed tanks or closed pressure cylinders, liquid-filled containers, tires, municipal trash, or appliances containing freon that have not been certified as evacuated. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our site safe.
Notice: Some other items require documentation or hvac license to be accepted like hvac condenser coils. Catalytic converters require verification of ownership and/or repair shop receipt. No exceptions, this helps reduce the unlawful theft of items. You can always give us a call if you have any questions on these items or check another item.
